| Nikki Rae, lead vocalist/percussionist in the band, is the person behind the inspiration of this band. She started singing at age 10. Her love for music was cultivated by her father and her musical family, who exposed her to Bluegrass, Country and Rock.
As a teenager, Nikki mainly played and performed for family parties, weddings and volunteer functions. She has had a brief stint playing some Hard Rock with a couple of local bands, but drifted back to her true musical love, Country.
Although music was a active part of Nikki's life in young adulthood, it wasn’t until Nikki was 22 that she began performing in bands to fulfill her musicial desire. As pretty as she is talented, her powerful, sassy lead voice and natural harmony range along with her energetic stage presence give The Rodeo Clowns just the right touch.
